Edd Jones Orchestra

Edd Jones Color Photo0001 The most requested dance band in the Southeast.

Edd Jones learned to play the trumpet when he was 10 years old. His dream was to play in the University of Alabama “Million Dollar Marching Band”. And so he did earning his Bachelor and Masters Degrees. He received his PhD in Music at Southern Mississippi University.

Over the years, Edd Jones has played with, or backed up, the likes of Sammy Kaye, Jan Garber, Jack Morgan, Dick Jurgens, Vaughn Monroe, Pat Boone, Sonny and Cher, Joni James, Ringling Brothers and Holiday on Ice. Since 1964, the Edd Jones Orchestra has entertained dancers at conventions and weddings, on cruise ships, at country clubs and ballroom dance clubs.

Ballroom dancers delight in dancing to the music of the Edd Jones Orchestra. This band is truly exceptional in their ability to play such a great variety of ballroom dance music. The sequence and tempo of their dance music is always so comfortable and such a pleasure for the dancers. They have become extremely popular and have delighted ballroom dancers from New Orleans to Indianapolis. Southern Rhapsody dancers are indeed fortunate to have the Edd Jones Orchestra to play for their dances.

Due to popular demand we have asked Edd Jones to play on both Monday nightAND Tuesday morning.
