Bobby Layne has been featured in national publications, appeared on radio and TV, and has won all kinds of national awards for his outstanding performances. Bobby's career began in high school where he formed a 7-piece band. Later he joined the 43rd Army Band. Bobby Layne has been featured in national publications, appeared on radio and TV, and has won all kinds of national awards for his outstanding performances. His popular band grew to 11 pieces and during the mid-70's, he added vocalist Trudy Dumay. At age 12, Trudy was already performing in the Lincoln & Omaha area. She has now celebrated over 37 years in the entertainment business! Frequently featured with the University of Nebraska Jazz Band, she won the prestigious Jazz Symphonia Vocalist Award in 1967.
