Dick Elliot Orchestra

Bandleader Dick Elliot began his professional career, initially playing saxophone before switching over to bass. A longtime musicians’ union member, he formed his band, The Dick Elliot Orchestra, in the early 1960’s, playing college dances, proms, military balls, cotillions and ballrooms.

The 11-piece orchestra plays Big-Band Ballroom music, the perfect choice for both dining and dancing. The Orchestra has performed at some of the finest ballrooms in the Chicago-land area, including The Aragon, The Willowbrook, The Rivoli, The Hub, The Crystal Ballroom and The Wonderland, besides performing regularly at The Chevy Chase Country Club. The Orchestra performs at many dinner/dance clubs as well, and plays around the Midwest, including DeKalb and Indiana. They look forward to their first performance for the Southern Rhapsody Dance Society in August of 2014.
